So this is just going to be a short post. You see my fiancé was supposed to take me to the art museum for my birthday but it turned out to be something completely different. But between waking up late and getting ready, by the time we arrived it was so crowded there was a line around the building in ordered to get in. My fiancé apologized and asked me where else I would like to go. We already went to the zoo in the fall, so I did not want to go. And anywhere else was just too far away. So I thought of the Japanese Tea House that was not too far away from the museum.
The one thing I didn’t know was that the Tea House is closed in the fall/winter months. So we only got to walk around the perimeter of the grounds until it opens this spring for the Cherry Blossom Festival. So we walked around more of Fairmount Park grounds and saw some sculptures. Actually, Fairmount Park is like a sculpture garden with art for over the past two hundred plus years. Fairmount Park is a national historical park that located close to the heart of Philadelphia that stretches over 2000 acres. We went to the west side of the park and just hung around for hours in this damp, cold weather. I was so unprepared for attire wise.
I wore this cute leopard print denim jeans, that I got on sale with a purple t-shirt and a light cardigan and coat because I was going to be indoors with a lot of people and I knew it was going to be warm in the museum. The one thing I did do right was wear nice shoes. These oxfords I got at a Clarks store, the only reason why I got them was because they were free when my fiancé purchased some shoes. At first I did not like them, but they have grown on me in the past couple of weeks. Although they are not the most fashionable shoes, they sure are pretty stylish for when you will be on your feet for some time.
Well I will be back in Fairmount Park in few weeks for the cherry blossom that surround the Tea House. I might go into the Tea House when I opens.
